Gravel Tour RFV
Get a taste of our valley’s best gravel. This is about an 80-mile loop with bail out points. (There is a bike path that runs down the center of our valley called the Rio Grande.) We will start from our home in Carbondale and ride up Prince Creek (option to do some single track climbing). We will then descend West Sopris Creek Rd. to East Sopris Creek (there is a bail out point here), climb East Sopris Road to Elk Creek, and descend Elk Creek to Snowmass Creek Road (second bail out point). From here we will climb Snowmass Creek road all the way to Snowmass. (There is a third bail out point call Watson Divide that is some fun gravel in itself). In Snowmass we can stop at a grocery store for fuel refills before we start to work our way back down the valley. (Bail out point) In El Jebel we will climb up Upper Cattle Creek to Cattle Creek, and then we will descend towards Red Canyon coming down in Glenwood (last bail out point), before we climb up Sunlight to Dry Park, climb Dry Park road and descend back to the house.
Lenado MTB
It all begins with Lenado. This magical place is where August grew up. We are going to meet at 10:00am for 2-3 hours of mountain biking on trails from the cabin door. We will hit all of Kara’s favorite trails and end up back at the cabin, for a quick beer before we have to go get ready for the welcome party.

Snowmass Bike Park
Closing Weekend for Snowmass Bike Park! While we do not have a window to do this we thought some of you might want to go! With 25 miles of purpose-built, diverse trails—from beginner-friendly and flowing singletrack to adrenaline-inducing radness.

American Lake
Today we will do one of our favorite hikes/trail runs in an area called Ashcroft. We will plan to meet at the American Lake trailhead at 9:00. For those who want to hike, it’s a 3 mile hike up to American lake. This is a steep trail into a high alpine lake that starts off in one of the best Aspen groves around. Those who want to run will continue, ‘August adventure style,’ up to Electric Pass and then descend to Cathedral Lake before returning to the valley floor.

MTB + 1/2 off Sushi
It all begins with an idea: celebrating each other and the outdoors! We will meet at the Intercept lot for a 2-2.5 hour MTB ride. We will ride the trails in Sky Mountain Park/ Snowmass. After the ride (~6:00pm) we will head up to the Snowmass Base Village for Sushi at Kenichi Snowmass (110 Carriage Way Apt 3101, Snowmass Village, Co). This is an AVSC fundraiser, and $20 at the door will get you 1/2 off your sushi bill.
